valeo (latin): be strong / powerful / influential / healthy

We believe that being fit makes everything else in life better. Whether it’s camping with friends, cottage with the family, traveling to different countries, going on vacation, or just going through the regular tasks of everyday life - ALL of it is better when you feel strong, fit and capable.

We also believe that since fitness should amplify your life, it shouldn’t take up your entire life. Building a better body and maintaining a healthy physique is possible without spending hours in the gym, hours in the kitchen or obsessing over calories at every meal for the rest of your life.

Our owner and founder, Tim Walcott, has over seven years experience coaching hundreds of busy people on how to build a better body and learn intuitive eating habits that help them lose weight and keep it off forever. After all, what’s the point of achieving a body you’re proud of if you can’t sustain it while also enjoying life?

Over those seven years, Tim learned a lot about what actually works when it comes to coaching people on these fitness goals that so many people struggle to achieve and then ultimately maintain. He took his entire playbook from working with all of his in-person clients over the last seven years and found an effective way to get the exact same results for people online.

All our coaching services have been designed and built in a way that offers you the client complete and total support all the way to your goal. No cookie-cutter meal plans, no program templates, no check-in days without frequent follow up, no questions unanswered, no figuring it out yourself.

We do everything we can to provide high quality support and accountability on a daily basis.

Stop yo-yo dieting for good and finally achieve the confident body you want while conquering your cravings with our Anti-Diet Diet Program or build a lean and assertive physique with our highly personalized strength coaching.

Amplify your life and enjoy it to the fullest without being on a diet forever or in the gym not getting any results.

about tim

I’m Tim and I own valeo fitness coaching. I’m a college dropout and former drug addict….

So yeah, I know a thing or two about feeling like a failure. This is my story of how I got to this point in my life, despite things being very, very different several years ago…

I went to Humber college in 2011. Didn’t really care about school. Enjoyed partying, a little too much. Got kicked out of my dorm building on my 20th birthday and barely managed to stay enrolled in my program. Three semesters in I dropped out anyway, never graduated. Went to a drug counselor then almost booked a trip to rehab in Costa Rica (I still have the sticky note my counselor handed me with the name and address of the place). This went on for about 3-4 more years and I couldn’t enjoy life the entire time.

Eventually the shame of my decisions outweighed the desire for comfort, and then I started changing for the better. It started with less drugs, then less cigarettes, then less booze. Then I added in the gym again, then better food, then inspiring resources like podcasts and books. Before I knew it, I had a new addiction. But this addiction was a better option. I was training regularly, eating well, dreaming of big ideas, envisioning a new life that I was in control of, and doing the hard work of healing (at least in the ways I knew how to). It was a new lifestyle. I was building something better and it started to reflect as my body changed.

I am very happy with my life now but I hope this part of my life shows you that massive change is possible. It wasn’t even that long ago that I was in a very different spot. Depressed, anxious, and addicted. Eating food and making decisions only to chase some semblance of momentary pleasure. I remember literally thinking that I was meant to be that way forever. Eventually, I was able to overcome those challenges through small changes every day, week and month. I wasn’t perfect along the way either, I partied all the way through - just less and less.

Fast forward to 2017, I opened a private fitness studio called Motus Strength Health Club and helped hundreds of people lose fat, gain lean muscle, build functional strength and completely overhaul their lifestyle in a way that made them enjoy life 10x more.

Several years later and I am still serving clients at my private studio with a team of other great coaches while also serving my online clients at Valeo Fitness Coaching, co-hosting a podcast called Stay Peaked with my lovely Fiance, competing in powerlifting meets around Southern Ontario, learning more and more about my passion for fitness and health, and enjoying the odd cigar on a Friday evening.

I continue to coach people (both online and in-person) because I love showing people how great they can feel and how strong they can be with small changes everyday. I’ve coached hundreds of people in person (and dozens online) and I’ve learned a lot about how to make people successful with their fitness goals without all the tired tactics that most people have already tried a million times.

Whether you’re a 30 year old dude who wants to build a Greek god physique with a heavy deadlift or the middle aged parent who just wants to regain youthful energy and lose belly fat - I have the framework to help you feel confident in your body while also enjoying life’s pleasures.

I have never been obese or even overweight for a significant period of my life. In fact, for most of my life I have even been pretty consistent with the gym. But I have felt the pain of feeling like a failure despite my continued efforts. I think that’s where I can meet my clients halfway who come to me after struggling for years of bad eating habits, too much alcohol, poor stress management skills, and no discipline around exercising. The pain of constant failure and the lack of self-respect go hand-in-hand. And at that point, all future attempts to improve become derailed by self-sabotage. Breaking the cycle seems impossible. Trust me, I know what it’s like. Whether it’s food, booze, drugs or something else, it all influences us the same when you’re stuck in a rut.

There’s power in our beliefs, there’s power in discipline, there’s power in awareness, and there’s power in building our bodies. Life is awesome but it’s more awesome when you’re strong, fit and confident in the body you love.

For me and my clients, building better beliefs translates into a better body. And the process of building a better body amplifies every other area of our lives.
